MG Motor India has launched its electric hatchback Comet EV at an introductory price of Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Comet EV is a 3-door micro hatchback with four seats and measures 2,974 mm in length, 1,505 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height.
The electric hatchback has a wheelbase of just 2,010 mm and car rides on 12-inch steel wheels.
The Comet EV features a tall boy design and comes with dual projector headlamps.
Inside, it gets dual 10.25-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity and a digital instrument cluster.
It comes with features like keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, dual airbags, rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera.
The Comet EV uses a 17.3 kWh battery pack that is said to offer a range of 230 km on a single charge.
According to MG, the battery can be charged from 0-100% in 7 hours using a 3.3 kW charger. It charges from 10-80% in 5 hours.
Deliveries of the MG Comet EV will commence on May 15, 2023. It competes with the Tata Tiago EV, which is priced from Rs 8.69 lakh.
